auggie is always trying to whack himself in the wiener while enjoying some naked time.
as if that weren’t disturbing enough on its own, every time he manages to hit his crotch, he laughs maniacally.
and then proceeds to suck his toes and hum.

auggie totally nailed matthew today while they were playing SuperBaby.
like a good wife, i laughed and ran for the camera.

auggie rolled over yesterday a few times, but we never caught it on video. we tried again today and after much growling and moaning, he finally toppled over again.
listen to that mom voice i’ve got going on.
edit: i just noticed he drooled on his play mat and then face-planted right into it as he rolled.
what a pro.

my water broke on its own after 30+ hours of labor. i started pushing about an hour later and had auggie an hour after that.

thanks for your concern and for the heads up! i don’t use steroid cream (since i couldn’t during pregnancy and got through that flare, i figured i’d just do the same this time), just super thick Eucerin that puts the ‘greasy’ in my ‘greasy mexican’ status.
my hair falling out is from pregnancy hormones vacating the premises. it became really thick and full during my pregnancy, so i’ve been waiting with dread for the day that it would start to thin out. the upside is that it will take less dye now… i know, i’m reaching.
ah, the joys of motherhood. :)

it’s baaaaaaack
my eczema has flared again - and this time it’s INTENSE.
it started as a rash over my cheeks and the bridge of my nose and quickly spread to my chest, breasts, stomach, back, arms and behind my ears. now it’s even creeping down my butt-cheeks. not cute.
i had to reassure all the mama’s at my weekly group that, no, i am not trying to pass your kid a gross rash and that it is not contagious. it was so embarrassing.
i’m keeping the dryness semi-under control with super thick Eucerin, but now my face just looks sunburned and greasy all the time. my poor husband has to stare at this mess everyday and still give me smooches.
i think i’m on my way back down the hormone mountain (got my period, my hair is falling out) so i’m pretty sure that’s the reason for the flare. all i can do is wait it out, but i just wish it would hurry up and get out of my life already.
