8hanging out at the Kennedy School soaking pool with mom and dad. i think i want to live there.
we took auggie to the soaking pool today and he loved it!
it’s heated to about 98 or 99 degrees, which is the exact temperature of his baths - but this bath doesn’t get cold AND it has lots of other fun babies to play with!
he’s going to be pretty spoiled when it comes time to introduce him to my parents’ pool, which sits at a ‘chilly’ 85 to 90 degrees. although i assume GiGi will be more than happy to warm it up as much as he wants.
spoiled baby is spoiled.
They keep dressing me in these teddy bear and monkey outfits, apparently not getting the hint that I’m more into porcupines and hedgehogs.
my little snug
18have you heard of these things called baths?
THEY. ARE. AMAZING.
auggie totally digs the water - every time he takes a bath (which is every other day now) he’s all smiles and just totally relaxes. he doesn’t mind when i accidentally pour water over his face and he constantly tries to scootch lower and lower into the water, turning his cheeks into it and then turning them out again once he feels the water on his mouth.
i’m really happy that he enjoys the water - matthew and i are total water babies and my parents have a pool, so we’ll be swimming all summer long. i plan on taking him to the soaking pool at the Kennedy School sometime soon (which sits right around 98 degrees - just like his bathwater - and is a very calm environment… when there aren’t a bunch of 4 year olds splashing around - so we’ll have to figure out how to avoid that) - probably once he’s around 3 or 4 months, to let him get accustomed to a bigger body of water.
when did your kids start ‘swimming’? did you take them to classes or just go to a pool and sit with them?
auggie started smiling (for more than just farts) a couple of days ago. if we weren’t already under his thumb, we are now.
